The Great Famine
The Drought is here...
It is May, ought to be the rainy season now... the lands are parched as minature dust storms torment those who stay outside their sauna of a house. The skies gray every now and again every few days or so... teasing... delaying the crab season as well. Fruits are meagre and 'winjy'... the apple tree offers up purple prune/raisin like plums. Hope mangoes fare better. The streets are lazy and hazy, and Mobay has gone gun crazy.
Adding to the endless and constant heat is the endless barrage of love songs that have infected the airwaves, from Linkz 96.5 FM to Zip 103.5 Fm to TV to the Carsounds that seem paid to patrol MoBay and provide ambient background music... the heat is interspersed with "So sick of Love songs..." Mary J. Blige has been "Too strong for too long" on the charts, and 'mi tyad a Akon a look me in the eye and all a dat....' at least mi nuh mind Shakira... and Wycleff... but to be honest with this heat and love music I think lots of houses are filled with the sweaty scent of sex now, and when we check the birth rate December we'll see something...
Anyway... this just a small line from the mind of 25 year old maniac, hold up in his bunker and Third World Outpost....
